Russia and Georgia will discuss Russia's membership of the WTO in Bern on April 28-29, Trend reports.
The talks were initiated by Russia. The first meeting was held in Switzerland in March, with the sides deciding not to reveal the result of negotiations.
Georgian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nino Kalandadze said that Georgia has several conditions for Russia’s membership of the organization. The main demand is border control over occupied territories.
US Deputy Secretary of State Tina Kaidanov said that the USA supports Russia in joining the WTO. Georgia has its legitimate concerns, she said.
