Russian President Dmitry Medvedev urged the authorities to remember the participants of military operations in South Ossetia, RIA Novosti reports.
The president made the statement at a meeting with United Russia Party members. The topic was raised by Gosha Kutsenko. The president reminded the meeting that those who took part in combat needed help several months after the conflict ended.
The Order of Saint George was restored to honour them.
