Armenian premier meets Georgian ambassador

Armenian Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received the Georgian Ambassador to Armenia, Tengiz Sharmanashvili. Sargsyan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and underlined the importance of the diplomatic missions in both states, Georgia Online reports.


Sharmanashvili noted that ties between the two countries are strengthening with the efforts of their presidents.


The sides discussed realization of agreements concluded on the visit of Georgian Prime Minister Nikoloz Gilauri to Yerevan. The agreements mainly concern the formation of a joint customs service and procedures of crossing the Armenian-Georgian border by passenger and freight vehicles.


Sargsyan said that there is a set of issues of bilateral interest to be discussed at the 9th session of the Armenian-Georgian inter-governmental commission.
