30,000 Chechens without electricity

Some 30,000 consumers have been left without power at Chechnya’s Shelkovsky District overnight on Tuesday. The problem was caused by an accident at a power plant, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said, RIA Novosti reports.


Information on the power cut was registered at 04.00 (Moscow time). The sectionalizing switch broke at the Shelkovskaya power plant. Nurenergo and the Emergencies Ministry are fixing the problem.
