The customs structures of Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates signed a deal on mutual support and cooperation in Baku on Tuesday, Trend reports.
The document was signed by the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Aydyn Aliyev, and Director General of the Federal Customs Service of the UAE, Halid Ali al-Bostani. It was signed within the framework of the third session of the inter-governmental commission for economic, trade and technical cooperation between the two states.
Aliyev said that many goods imported to Azerbaijan from the UAE are produced in third states. There are cases of smuggling of valuable metals. Expensive mobile phones have become popular in Azerbaijan as well, Aliyev added.
