Romania acknowledges the construction of a US missile defence system on its territory, Reuters cites a statement by the president of the country.
"We acknowledge the construction of a missile defence system on the territory of our country," the Romanian President told journalists during a press conference.
The future airbase will be situated 230 km from Bucharest and protected by 200 US soldiers.
