Iran considers Turkey a good neighbour

At a joint news conference with Turkish foreign minister Ahmet
Davutoglu in Istanbul, Iranian foreign minister Manuchehr Mottaki said
that Turkey and Iran are the two main actors in resolving regional
problems and that their relations were developing every day, Trend
reports citing Anadolu news agency.
"Turkey is an important UN member and a good neighbour of Iran",
Mottaki said, remarking that meetings and political cooperation
between them would continue. Mottaki said that the Iraqi elections had
been conducted in a democratic atmosphere, adding that Iran would
always respect Iraq's territorial integrity, and expressing hope that
a democratic government would emerge in that country and become a
stable and significant country in the region.
Mottaki described his talks in New York as fruitful.
The Iranian foreign minister earlier met with Turkish president
Abdulla Gul in closed session, with Davutoglu also present.
