Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is on an official visit to Serbia, 1news.am reports.
According to the Foreign Ministry’s press office, the two-day visit was initiated by Serbian FM Vuk Jeremic. On Wednesday, the two ministers attended the opening of the Azerbaijani hall in the Serbian Foreign Ministry.Mammadyarov thanked his Serbian counterpart for supporting Azerbaijan’s position in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and told his Serbian counterpart about the progress of negotiations mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group to achieve a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
At the same time, the Azerbaijan foreign minister once again voiced the position of Baku on the Kosovo problem, which is issue number 1 for Serbia.
Jeremic said the Serbian leadership is ready to develop relations further with Azerbaijan and thanked the Azerbaijani side for its unequivocal support for Belgrade’s stance on the Kosovo issue, both in bilateral meetings and on the international arena.
