New head of Interior Ministry of North Caucasus Federal District appointed

Sergei Chenchik, lieutenant-general of the police, has been appointed new head of the Interior Ministry in the North Caucasus Federal District under the deputy Interior Minister of Russia, reports RIA Novosti, citing a high-ranking official in the law-enforcement agencies of the region. He will be presented to the staff on May 12th, reports the agency. He
previously occupied the position of deputy head of the federal department for the prevention of organized crime.
