Head of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of the OSCE, Petros Efthimiou will visit Azerbaijan and Armenia next week. The main purpose of his visit is to strengthen cooperation with the parliaments of both countries in order to help resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at a parliamentary level, Trend reports.
"My current visit to Baku and Yerevan is one of a series of visits to regions of protracted conflict, aimed at facilitating the process of solving them at a parliamentary level," Efthimiou said in an interview on the eve of the visit.
Efthimiou will arrive in Baku on a two-day visit on 12 May, after meetings in Yerevan on May 9-11. This is the first visit of Efthimiou to the region as the head of the OSCE PA.
