Field engineer dies in Dagestan

A field engineer has died while attempting to defuse an explosive
device near a building occupied by military servicemen in the
Dagestani town of Kaspiysk at 07:05 hours, RIA Novosti reports,
referring to an Interior Ministry representative in the republic.

“After a suspicious object was noticed, the building's inhabitants
were informed and evacuated. When field engineer sergeant Fatali
Gabibov started working on the device, an explosion occurred. The
sapper died tragically”, the press service’s representative said.
