Sochi will start a countdown to the 2014 Olympic Games on May 14. The Olympic clock will be launched at the Sochi marina, with 1000 days left before the games start, Yuga.ru reports.
The clock produced by Omega is 4.14 meters tall and 4.4 meters long, weighing 3500 kg.
Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov and President of the Organization Committee Sochi-2014 Dmitry Chernyshenko and President of Omega Steven Urghart will be at the opening.
