Kazakhstan will send a large amount of military equipment to Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports.
Kazakhstan will send 30 mortars, 20 combat vehicles and 5 armored vehicles.
Kyrgyz Defense Minister Abibil Kudayberdiyev said that the country has only 80% of military equipment needed. It has T-72s, BTR-70s and BTR-80s, various types of infantry combat vehicles, and AA systems.
The Defense Ministry wants to provide the armed forces with modern equipment and weapons.
Kyrgyzstan is cooperating with Russia and Turkey in the military sphere.
