The Dagestani Ministry of Culture has started receiving bids for 13 presidential grants for figures of culture and art. The bids will be registered until September 15, 2011. Russian citizens involved in art and science may file a bid, RIA Dagestan reports.
The contest is aimed at stimulating creativity, assisting in promotion of Dagestani achievements in national culture, supporting traditions.
Rating of projects will be based on topicality and significance for the nation, ingenuity and relevance, ability for realization. Bids for establishment and realization of commercial projects, publication of books and papers will not be considered.
Winners of the contest will receive grants worth 300,000 rubles each for support of theatre groups, vocal and choreography groups, folklore groups, museums and libraries. Three grants worth 150,000 rubles each will be issued to support development of national cultures of Dagestan. One grant will worth 100,000 rubles will be given to support directors, artists and actors, painters, sculptors, musicians and composers, writers.
