North Ossetian authorities and Moscow specialists have developed a special program for passenger transport, Ossetia.ru reports.
A council supervised by North Ossetian Leader Taymuraz Mamsurov was held in Vladikavkaz on May 11. A program was passed.
Mamsurov says that the transport scheme needs optimization, minibus taxis need to be reduced. They will be replaced with buses equipped with the GLONASS system to control their movement.
An electronic payment system for tickets needs to be established. Passenger security needs attention. The number of car accidents keeps rising annually.
Mamsurov said that only a few transport infrastructures test drivers for alcohol in the morning. Transport needs to meet standards.
