Co-chairs of Geneva discussions on security and stability in the Trans-Caucasus will arrive in South Ossetia today, prior to the 16th round of talks. They plan to meet Boris Chochiyev, plenipotentiary presidential representative for post-conflict settlement, and South Ossetian delegation to the Geneva talks in Tskhinvali, Chochiyev’s website says.
The co-chairs include Pierre Morel (EU), Antti Turunen (UN) and Hedrius Checuales (OSCE).
They plan to meet representatives of national minorities, Vice-Premier Domenti Kulumbegov. The co-chairs will visit memorials, and sacred areas of South Ossetia. They will visit the Leningorsky District, where they will meet the administration head.
The co-chairs will be in South Ossetia on May 12-13. The next talks in Geneva are planned for June 7.
