"The Alliance for Georgia" protests act of vandalism

Representatives of "The Alliance for Georgia" have again protested
against the bombing of the memorial in Kutaissi. Oppositionists laid
flowers at the site where the former war memorial stood,
"GeorgiaToday" reports citing "InterpressNews".

This act of vandalism, which resulted in the deaths of two victims,
was a clear sign of disrespect towards the veterans, said Mamuka
Mgvdeladze, the leader of the Kuatisi organization 'New Rights', part
of the 'Alliance' movement.

The memorial was bombed on January 19th 2009, two days before the
birthday of the country's then president. A new
parliament building is being constructed on the site.
