Armenia to raise draft age

Armenia is going to raise the draft age. The corresponding bill was approved today by the Armenian Parliament, Armenia Today reports.

According to Armenian Minister of Justice Grayr Tovmasyan the measure is necessary as the country adopted a new 12-year education system. Now young men will be conscripted at the age of 19.
