Kabardino-Balkarian Interior Minister Sergey Vasilyev signed a cooperation agreement with three main religious confessions in the republic (the Muslim, Orthodox and Judaist) and the ombudsman on May 12, RIA Novosti reports.
The Interior Ministry is having intense work with on clarifying the true goals of extremist preachers and is taking measures to prevent young people from joining extremists.
Representatives of religious confessions and the ombudsman expressed readiness for constructive cooperation with the law-enforcers.
The document involves organization of clerical and ethic lessons for law-enforcers, joint science and research activities, education, public and information events, studies of national and foreign experience in cooperating with religious and public organizations.
Clerics are expected to educated under-aged criminals in centers of temporary detention, support rehabilitation of police officers serving in extreme conditions. The law-enforcers will provide technical support and centralized security.
