Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Luis Moreno Ocampo will demand the arrest of three members of Libyan authorities, supposedly including the country’s leader Muammar Gaddafi, on May 16, RIA Novosti reports.
Ocampo said that Libyan law-enforcers have made several major and systematic attacks on peaceful citizens.
The disorders in Libya started in February, turning into an uprising against Muammar Gaddafi’s forces. the UN Security Council passed a resolution in March, allowing the International Criminal Court to consider crimes of against Libyan civilians and to start air raids on Libyan forces to stop violence.
