Libya to fulfil UN resolutions if NATO stops bombings

Libyan officials expressed willingness to fulfil the resolutions of the UN Security Council if NATO stops bombings, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow, RIA Novosti reports.


Tripoli is ready to fulfil the proposals of the road map made by the African Union and resolution 1973. The rebels need to make the same step, Lavrov said.


The Russian goal is to be a mediator between Tripoli and the opposition, support mediation of the UN and initiatives of the African Union, the minister stated.
