EU parliament chairman to visit Armenia today

Today, on May 17th, the chairman of the European Parliament, Jerzy Karol Buzek, is going to visit Armenia, Tert.am reports.

Tomorrow, on May 18th, the EU official is going to meet the President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, the parliamentary speaker, and the leaders of the country's major political parties.

Previously Buzek announced the official position of the EU on Nagorno-Karabakh, saying "we do not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state".
