The minister for internal affairs of Iran, Mustafa Nadjari, has appointed the chairman of the Central Electoral Committee. The position had been held by the deputy minister of internal affairs of the IRI on political issues, Said Sulat Murtazavi, Trend reports.
Murtazavi will be a front-runner in the parliamentary elections on March 2nd 2012.
At the moment 260 parties, movements, societies and so on are registered in Iran.
