43 deputies voted for this decision. Only five deputies of legislative assembly were against it.

The leaders of all the factions, including Just Russia, spoke in favor of withdrawing Mironov’s accreditation.

In his speech, Mironov stated that he was sure of his results and promised to come back to the legislative assembly of St. Petersburg in December

, Gazeta.ru reports.

The speaker of the St. Petersburg legislative assembly, Vadim Tyulpanov, accused Mironov of political splitting.

“Mironov lobbies laws and simultaneously criticizes them. We are tired of watching how you sacrifice St. Petersburg's future for your political ambitions,” Tyulpanov said.

It was Tyulpanov who proposed Mironov’s withdrawal from the Federation Council.
