Armenia will put maximum efforts into strengthening the positions of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in the South Caucasus, Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council Artur Bagdasaryan said at the international conference entitled “CSTO and South Caucasus: prospects for peace and security in the region”, News Armenia reports.
The authority of the organization rises every year, Armenia will do its best to allow itself and partners fulfill goals, Bagdasaryan said.
He noted that 2010 was the period of fruitful work of the CSTO on many topical issues and that full-fledged and timely realization of decisions will determine the future of the organization and its success.
The secretary believes that the pace must not be stopped, partnership must continue. He underlined that stability and normalization of relations with border states is a political priority for Armenia, a destructive approach of its neighbors would hinder the fulfilment of goals.
