USA and Armenia discuss settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Washington on May 19, NEWS.am reports.


Clinton noted that the two states have good friendship and partnership and that their bilateral relations are strengthening and developing.


Nalbandian thanked the State Secretary and said that such meetings demonstrate further improvement of relations, which have reached a new level of cooperation in the last two years.


Nalbandian and Clinton discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral relations, including their development, the process of democratic reforms in Armenia and regional issues.


They exchanged views on a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Clinton emphasized that the USA, as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, will continue its efforts in the peace process.
