Armenian President proposed to grant amnesty

President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday appealed to the National Assembly (Parliament) of the Republic with a proposal of an amnesty in connection with the 20th anniversary of independence of the republic, RIA Novosti reported with a reference to the press service of the Armenian state.

Experts in Armenia suggest that, as a result of the amnesty in the first place will be released oppositionist  Nicol Pashinian and Samsun Mikaelian who in custody because of events of  March, 1, 2008.
