Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has dismissed a set of generals of the Russian armed forces, including the head of anti-missile forces and deputy head of the air forces for air defense General Lieutenant Sergey Razygrayev, press-service of the Kremlin said.
The president also dismissed General Major Valery Konurkin, deputy head of the military studies and research center of the air forces the “Military Air Academy”, and General Lieutenant Hajibikar Ukurov, head of the Military Air and Space Defense Academy named after the USSR Marshal Zhukov, Russia 24 reports.
General Major Leonid Melnik and general Major Nikolai Smarshets have also been dismissed, ITAR-TASS reports.
