Lithuania urges EU to enhance ties with the South Caucasus

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania urges the European Union to enhance its ties with the republics of the South Caucasus, Trend reports.

Addressing the members of the European Council, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronyus Azhubalis said that it's necessary for the European Union to develop its relations with the countries of the South Caucasus.


"It's necessary to improve the relations between the European Union and the countries of the South Caucasus. We should start talks with Azerbaijan and Armenia and reconsider our visa regime," said Azhubalis, who is also the incumbent chairman of the OSCE.
