Turkish opposition seeks unity

Turkey's main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) does not want to split the country but is instead seeking unity, its leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said on Tuesday, Hurriyet Daily News reports.

“We will embrace all and create a more contemporary Turkey,” Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, adding “We don’t want to split but form a unity.”

The remarks came after a CHP statement in which the party says Turkey needs more federalism.
