The Russian and French presidents - Dmitry Medvedev and Nicolas
Sarkozy - have agreed to establish a common zone of security and
welfare in Europe, ITAR-TASS reports.
The end of the Cold War and fall of the Iron Curtain turned Russia
into a friendly state, Nicolas Sarkozy said. He promised to continue
talks on topical international affairs at the summit.
Medvedev said that Russia and France have the utmost trust in their
relations and this is of great significance to Europe and the world.
The presidents decided to continue talks on international affairs at
the G8 summit.
