7,000 suffer from floods in Adygeya

About 7,000 people in 33 villages of 5 areas are suffering from floods
in Adygeya. 2,152 houses and residential yards were submerged, 148 of
them destroyed, 43 partly destroyed. 2,972 people were affected,
Yuga.ru reports.


The figures may change, more houses are getting damaged as water
leaves the area, Alexey Petrusenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman
of the Commission for Emergencies, said.


Village heads were ordered to visit each house and compose lists of
people in need of aid and assess the damage. The documents will be
used to provide support from the federal budget and other financial
sources.


Payments have already started today. The government will provide
15,000 rubles per family for submerged houses and up to 10,000 rubles
for damaged households.
