It is time to coordinate the basic principles for settling the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza
said.
The statement made by the US, French and Russian presidents in
Deauville will contribute to stability in the region, Bryza said,
Trend reports.
Medvedev, Obama and Sarkozy urged the leaders of Armenia and
Azerbaijan to demonstrate political willingness and conclude work on
the basic principles of settling the conflict for the coming summit in
June.
Further dragging on of a deal may challenge the willingness of sides
to reach an agreement, the presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group member
states said at the G8 summit in Deauville.
Head of the section for foreign links of the Azerbaijani Presidential
Administration, Nowruz Mamedov, said that the trilateral meeting of
the Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents is of great
significance. The international community and the OSCE Minsk Group
have great expectations, he added.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev initiated a meeting of Azerbaijani
and Armenian Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan in Kazan on
June 25.
