328 convicts were freed from Armenian prisons under recent-issued amnesty, RIA Novosti reports.
The document was issued on May 26 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
68 more people will be freed from prisons, terms will be reduced for another 379 convicts.
Ex-MP Sasun Mikaelan and journalist Nicol Pashinyan are among the amnestied convicts.
