The funeral procession of Abkhaz President Sergey Bagapsh started from
his house and proceeded to the State Philarmonia, RIA Novosti reports.
Bagapsh died at the age of 62 after lung surgery in Moscow on Sunday.
Hundreds of people attended the funeral, including relatives,
colleagues and friends.
An Abkhaz local, Platon Hashig, said that he had known the president
personally and believes that the president had done a lot for the
republic.
The procession is moving through the streets of Sukhumi. Bagapsh will
be buried in his home village of Dzhgarda.
