Construction of Port Taman at Cape Zhelezny Rog (Temruksky District of
Krasnodar Territory) will start in 2013 and end in 2018. About 100
million rubles of private investments have been provided for the
project, Russian Deputy Transport Minister Andrey Nedosekov said, RIA
Novosti-South reports.
The designing of the project will be concluded in 2012.
Uralkaliy, SUEK, United Grain Company, Metallinvest and Global Ports
are among the investors in the project.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will visit the opening ceremony
of a railway tunnel in Novorossiysk today. The tunnel increased its
transport capacity to 150 pairs of trains daily from 50-55 pairs.
Station capacities will be increased in 2014 as well. This will
increase freight to ports such as Caucasus, Temruk and Taman.
