Georgia and Surinam have established diplomatic relations, Georgia-Online reports.
The corresponding document was signed today by Henry McDonald, the official representative of Surinam at the UN, and Alexander Lomaya, his Georgian counterpart. The official ceremony took place in New York, in the office of the Georgian permanent representative at the UN.
The parties informed the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon about the establishment of diplomatic relations between their countries, sending him an official letter.
