Turkish President Abdullah Gul is on a three-day visit to Poland,
where he will address the EU. Gul demanded that the EU decide on
Turkey’s membership in the organization, TRT reports.
Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski had a closed-door meeting with
the Turkish president. He praised Turkey for efforts in saving Polish
citizens in Libya.
Poland will become the EU chairman on July 1.
Gul requested the process of Turkish membership in the EU to be
speeded up. He added that Turkey will benefit the union.
Komorowski said that Turkey needs to convince the EU that it will
benefit the union.
