General prosecutors of SCO agree on fight against cross-border crime

The general prosecutors of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have agreed on a joint fight against trans-national crime at the ninth session held in Almaty, Novosti-Kazakhstan reports.

The countries will use all facilities for fighting illegal drug and arms trafficking, slavery, illegal migration and other crime in the region.

The sides also agreed on organization of tighter cooperation with the regional anti-terrorist structure of the SCO in the sphere of terrorism, separatism and fighting extremism.

Moreover, the general prosecutors of the SCO discussed the issue of legal support in criminal cases connected with terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and slavery.
