The authorities of Dagestan said that they will take all necessary measures to arrest the murderers of Maksud Sadikov, head of the Institute of Theology and International Relations, and his nephew Zalimkhan Musayev, RIA Novosti reports.
Sadikov and his nephew were killed near their house in Makhachkala. The authorities of Dagestan urged locals to support the police in finding the assailants.
Sadikov has been the head of the Institute of Theology and International Relations since 2003. He was a well-known fighter against extremism and supporter of religious education.
