The regional office of Russia's ruling United Russia party has
proposed organizing a Congress of Karachay-Cherkessian Peoples at
their 15th conference, Yuga.ru reports.
The idea was announced by the secretary of the political council of
the party's regional office, Alexander Lyashov. The congress may
consolidate peoples, various public groups and individuals around the
All-Russian People’s Front.
Russian Prime Minister and head of the United Russia Vladimir Putin
proposed establishment of the All-Russian People’s Front at the
conference in Volgograd. The front will aim to strengthen the
democracy and sovereignty of Russia.
