Finance ministers of the CIS states have held a council in Kiev, at
which they signed a memorandum on cooperation, Trend reports.
Azerbaijan was represented by Finance Minister Shamir Sharifov. The
finance ministers of Belarus, Kazkahstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia,
Tajikistan, Ukraine and Armenia, along witrh the deputy finance
ministers of Moldova and Turkmenistan (with observer status), an
official from Uzbekistan and officials from the CIS Executive
Committee were at the meeting.
The document allows sides to exchange information on reforms in
finance, the process of passing bills and financial decisions.
The participants at the council also discussed the realization of
measures taken by CIS states in 2009-2010 in the financial sphere.
They decided to establish a regional consultative group within the
council for financial stability at the CIS Executive Committee.
The sixth session of the council of finance ministers will be held in
Astana in 2012, coinciding with the economic forum.
