US Defense Secretary Robert Gates has criticized Turkey as one of five European NATO members that he said were not doing enough in the air campaign in Libya, Hurriyet Daily News reports.
During a closed-door meeting of NATO defense ministers, Gates specifically named Germany and Poland as two countries with the capability of assisting in the air war that were currently not contributing at all.
According to officials familiar with the briefing, Gates also highlighted Spain, Turkey and the Netherlands as countries that were
still enforcing the no-fly zone but should expand their participation.
