Azerbaijan insists on an increase in the Gabala radar station's rent, 1news.az cites Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Araz Azimov as saying.
The radar station in Gabala, rented by Russia, is an important part of the Russian missile defense system. The current contract expires in 2012 and the Azerbaijani side insists on an increase in the rent.
It's known that Russia is preparing to prolong the contract.
