The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has urged its citizens to
refrain from trips to Russia, News Georgia reports.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia calls upon its citizens to
refrain from trips to Russia, as being in this country is not safe"
the statement released on Friday reads.
The statement follows the murder of a contractor of from Georgia,
49-year-old Gela Bliadze in Moscow on June 5. The statement of the
Georgian Foreign Ministry notes that the murder was motivated by
ethnic hatred.
