Armenia attaches great importance to rapprochement with EU

Cooperation with the European Union is becoming increasingly important for Yerevan, said on Friday the president of Armenia, Serzh Sarkissian at a meeting with the Managing Director of the EU European External Action Service (EEAS), Department for relations with the western Balkans, Eastern Partnership and Russia, Miroslav Lajcak, News-Armenia reports referring to the press service of the head of state.

Sarkissian expressed confidence that the visit of the EU representative to Armenia would be an important stimulus for bilateral cooperation.
