New police chief appointed in Chechnya

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has appointed Colonel Apty Alayudov
as the Deputy Interior Minister of Chechnya and Police Chief of the
republic today, Yuga.ru reports.


Apty Ayudov was born in 1973. He was the head of the directorate for
organized crime control in Chechnya from November 2005 to September
2008. He was the deputy minister for economic security. He was
appointed as the head of the directorate of the Justice Ministry of
Russia in Chechnya in 2009.
