Georgian and Armenian spiritual leaders issue joint document

The clergy leaders of Georgia and Armenia have issued a joint communique.


The document underlines that they reached understanding and
cooperation in Tbilisi on June 11, 2011. It notes that Georgia and
Armenia have been home to Christian churches since the first century
A.D.


The Catholicos of All Armenia and the Georgian patriarch have
established a bilateral inter-church commission. The Georgian and
Armenian authorities are expected to support the realization of the
communique.
