Curfew lifted in Egypt

On Wednesday the curfew in Egypt, which was imposed 138 days ago by Hosni Mubarak because of riots, was lifted, RIA Novosti reports.

On June 6th the ruling Supreme Council of the military forces of Egypt stated that from June 15th the curfew would be lifted due to the positive situation in the sphere of security.

In recent days the curfews in Cairo, Alexandria and Suez have only lasted for three hours, from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m.

However, even these three hours negatively influenced the country’s economy in the spheres of tourism, trade and transport.
