The National Monitoring Service and the Institute for Independent
Political Studies prepared a media rating of Russian regions for May
2011. The Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov is leading the rating as
the most open regional head to the public. He is followed by the heads
of the Ryazan and Penza Regions, Oleg Kovalev and Vasily Bochkarev,
Yuga.ru reports.
Adygeya leader Aslan Tkhakushinov became the leader in the Southern
Federal District, taking 18th position in the general list.
Governor of the Stavropol Territory Valery Gayevsky took 14th
position, the Bashkortostan head took 15th and head of
Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov was 16th.
Governor of Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachyov is in 23rd position
in the rating, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov - 30th, North Ossetian
leader Taymuraz Mamsurov - 39th, Dagestani leader Magomedsalam
Magomedov - 65th, Governor of Rostov Region Valery Golubev - 72nd and
the leader of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov - 74th.
The rating has 83 positions. It is not based on the number of
publications, but on the presence of messages from the leaders to the
public.
